Tower Bridge
Marketing Campaign
How do you encourage people to visit London’s defining landmark?
The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness of Tower Bridge as a ‘must-see’ visitor attraction and heritage site. Increasing visitor numbers by encouraging people to ‘step inside’ and experience everything the attraction has to offer. Highlighting it as so much more than a photo opportunity.
Our playful cross section solution retains the iconic landmark image whilst allowing us the opportunity to create scenes that bring the amazing stories of the Bridge to life in an interesting, engaging way.
We commissioned the illustrator Paul Thurlby to bring our concept to life. Embracing his unique illustrative style across the campaign to create stand out from competitor attractions; whilst capturing audience imaginations through a revitalised impression of the Bridge.
This illustrative approach gave us great flexibility across the various campaign touch points, whether adding energy through animation or focusing in on the individual stories to appeal to different audience types, whether that be young families or engineering enthusiasts.
