Anthony Prothero
Exhibition, Book & Website
How do you create an exhibition identity that sensitively echos a deeply personal body of work?
Photographer Anthony Prothero’s project titled Ipseity (meaning individual identity in Latin) is a visual investigation into his grandmother’s archive of objects and personal photographs, and thus Anthony’s individual identity.
We supported Anthony with the design of his exhibition and complimenting book. Using a sophisticated, paired back approach to celebrate his project research and exhibition. We worked together to define the specification, pagination, design and print management of the beautifully tactile book. Using paper stocks, print finishes such as foiling and unusual binding techniques to help elevate the tactile quality of the publication.
Alongside this we designed a minimal, elegant website to launch with the exhibition, showcasing both his commercial and self-initiated photography projects.

“Honest studio were incredibly professional to work with. From initial meeting, through to concept, design and delivery, Dan was there to support me and my project all the way. I really couldn’t have done it without some honest (see what I did there) support, and I look forward to working with them on my next project.”
